NEW SEASON, NEW STYLE

Basically, I just wanted to express my excitement to wear all things cosy, knitted, oversized, soft and warm toned. Get ready for more Autumn/Winter fashion posts because this is my season!

So, I am finally back from my holiday to Crete, which was amaaaazing and truly needed, but I'm now back into full blogging mode and looking to the next few months ahead. One of the best things about living in England is getting to experience the changing seasons each year. Autumn is probably my favourite season out of the four because it just screams the word 'cosy' to me. It's a time full of pumpkins, bonfires, stews and spicy scented candles, but also a time to transition your style.

Autumn/Winter style is something I look forward to delving into each year and I love playing around with different layering combinations and textures. This time of year always sparks my excitement and inspiration for style, partly due to the recent Fashion Week that I have been drooling over. I find it so much easier to dress for the colder weather and think that there will be so many amazing jackets and coats arriving in stores soon. Outerwear is my favourite clothing item to buy because you can make a such statement with one piece and bring a whole look together. A good quality coat or jacket is definitely an investment piece for any wardrobe during this season, and it means that you don't have to worry too much what's underneath as the coat will be the centrepiece for any outfit. (Yes, I have way too many coats and probably need a separate room for them).

I'm also currently in the process of creating an 'Autumn Lookbook' for my YouTube channel which hopefully should be up sometime next week, and it will feature my current favourite Autumn outfits; including this one! If you haven't seen any videos from my channel yet then click here >> 'In Style Of Emily' because I would love to hear your feedback and any requests you have for the future.
