COVENT GARDEN CHRISTMAS SHOPPING

I absolutely love Christmas shopping, especially in London. As soon as the Christmas lights go up around the city, the whole festive vibe begins and I love the atmosphere that comes with it. There's Christmas themed market stalls, food stalls, mulled wine, decorations and more! I recently went to the Covent Garden area for the day to start some of my Christmas shopping, and the market as always is beautifully decorated. Each year they go with a slightly different theme and this year the ceiling was lined with mistletoe bunches and big silver baubles. We stopped for a snack outside of the market area and soaked up the busy atmosphere and people watched everyone else buying gifts.

If you've seen my recent Charlotte Tilbury blog post too, you'll know that I also popped into her new Covent Garden store which was so gorgeous and this was the first day of opening too! I love that in this area of London there are such a mixture of high end shops and high street shops too, so that you can find exactly what you're looking for and have such a varied choice. Some of the high end stores such as Burberry and Dior have such luxurious Christmas decorations and they also bring out their limited edition products for the Christmas period which are all beautifully packaged. Then there's the high street area filled with Zara, Topshop, Urban Outfitters etc which are always great to look around because the London stores seem to have better stock than other stores that are closer to me.

All in all, a lovely festive day out with family, finished off with mulled wine (of course)!

Love Emily
