Now, two of my favourite things in life are chocolate and cake (I'm a major desert person okay!) and so chocolate brownies are my ultimate heaven when it comes to sweet things. I have a really sweet tooth and so when I found out that I was quite intolerant to dairy, this broke my heart a little! Most of my favourite deserts and sweet things contain butter or milk and so the thought of cutting down was a very sad time!

But then I discovered Delicious Alchemy which is a brand that specialises in dairy and gluten free foods! I first discovered them at a food allergy show, and bought some of their chocolate brownie mix to try out. They seemed simple enough to bake and the only extra ingredients that was needed were eggs and dairy free butter - simples right?!

So the other day I decided it was the perfect time to try these out (typical rainy baking day) and so I used some of my Sainsbury's dairy free butter along with 2 large eggs and added them to the ready-made brownie mix.

Result: absolutely delicious!! The brownie mix made about 10 brownies (large ones obviously) and these were gone within 24 hours because my family and I loved them so much! You'd think that brownies without using proper butter would be really dry and plain, but these brownies were really moist and chocolately as they had a few added chocolate chunks within the mix. I'd highly recommend trying out these brownies even if you're not intolerant to dairy or gluten because they are some of the best brownies I've made (and I've made a lot trust me). It was also super quick and easy to bake and I'll leave the recipe down below!

All you need for ingredients is:
The Delicious Alchemy chocolate brownie mix
100g Dairy free butter/spread
2 x large eggs

All you need for baking equipment is:
A mixing bowl and spoon (or whisk if you're lazy)
A small rectangular baking tray (I used a loaf tin but either works)
Some grease-proof paper to line the tin
A cup and fork to beat the eggs
Weighing scales

How to bake:
1) Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees
2) Line your baking tray with the grease-proof paper
3) add the brownie mix into the mixing bowl and measure out 100g of your dairy free butter and add this to the mix
4) start mixing the brownie mix and butter together (I melted the butter slightly so it was easier to mix)
5) beat the eggs into a cup and slowly add this to the mix bit by bit and keep mixing
6) once the eggs, brownie mix and butter have been mixed together it should look like a smooth mixture.
7) add the mixture to the baking tray and spread out evenly making sure the corners are filled too
8) bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes and enjoy!

Have you tried making dairy free deserts/cakes before? I'd love to know in the comments if anybody has any lovely recipes for me to try!
