Instead of writing a monthly favourites post, I thought I would do a monthly haul instead. This is because this month I haven't really used any different in my makeup or skincare routine...and the new products that I do have, I haven't been using them for long enough to be able to give an honest review.

I also filmed this monthly haul for my Youtube channel too (linked below) if you would like to see me chat through these bits and bobs in more detail.

First of all...beauty bits!

I bought the Vitamin E Face Mist from The Body Shop which is really lovely for refreshing the skin throughout the day and also boosting hydration - can't wait to give this a go because sometimes during the day I feel like I want to give my makeup a little boost and refresh but u don't want the hassle of taking off my makeup and then reapplying it, so this will be perfect!

Next I bought this dazzle dust from BarryM in the shade 39. It's a gorgeous pale copper colour which would look lovely all over the eyelid over a cream shadow, or even as an inner corner highlight to the eye. It's a great colour for summer or autumn because it's very natural and warm toned but not too over the top with sparkle.

Finally for beauty products I bought the Instant Radiance Highlighter from No7. The applicator is really easy to use as it comes in a twist up stick form which you can just apply onto the skin in swiping motions and the formula is really easy to blend as its super creamy. The colour is a lovely pinky/champagne and I'm excited to start using a cream highlighter more often as I usually stick to powder formulas.

Next up...clothes and accessories!
I bought this straw fedora style sun hat from New Look in the sale which will be great for my trip away to Malawi that I'm going on next week! As I'm going to be volunteering in hospitals and schools with a charity I didn't want a huge floppy hat that was going to be impractical. However, I obviously need to protect my skin from sun damage, and I thought this hat was the perfect size for the job!

Next I got this lovely midi skirt from TOPSHOP which is in a mottled grey ribbed material. It has splits at either side which start at the knee which is good because it doesn't show too much leg (could be a disaster in the wind) and I thought this was a great staple item to see me through from summer to autumn because it has the extra coverage in the length. Also most of my wardrobe in monochrome and so I'll have loads of pieces to style with this skirt in all seasons! (Outfit post featuring this will be coming in the next month).

Finally for clothing I got this Bardot style top from Primark. It's again in a ribbed material (love this effect) which adds more quality to the item and of course black and white stripes never go out of fashion. I love that this has long sleeves too because it is another transitional piece that I can wear through to Autumn, and the sleeves cap off at the shoulders which is good because it's not too over-exposing (nobody wants too much boob out!). I will also be doing an outfit post on this in a couple of days so keep your eyes peeled for that!
(in store only)

The last thing in my August haul that I wanted to show you are my amazing Adidas Gazelle trainers. These are something that I was severely lacking in my shoe collection, because I didn't have any casual trainers...only open flats, sandals or boots. I'll get loads out of these and they are really easy to throw on in the daytime with jeans or leggings and they're really comfy too! Definitely my little splurge item of the month but totally worth it! goo.gl/IHNH1n

I hope you enjoyed this run through of the thing I have bought this month! Don't forget to check out my Youtube video if you would like to see me talk through these items in any more depth.
